How to play

• Watch: a word appears, then disappears.
• Type it from memory and press Enter.
• Every three right answers, the level goes up: the word stays on screen for less time, then longer words and groups of words appear.
• A wrong answer costs a life. You have three.

Why it helps

Fast typists don't read letter by letter: they take in a whole word, or several, and their fingers follow. This game trains exactly that: reading a word at a glance and keeping it in mind while you type.

Levels and scoring

• At level 1, the word stays on screen for 1.5 seconds; each level takes about a tenth of a second off, down to 0.4 seconds.
• The words grow from three to five letters up to ten letters, then come in groups of two and then three short words.
• Each right answer is worth its number of letters multiplied by the level. Your best score is kept in your browser, for each language.

Tips

• Do not spell the word in your head: take in its shape at once.
• Start typing straight away, while the picture is still fresh.
• Read a group of words like a short phrase, not as separate words.
