How it works
Results come from the typing test: 15 or 60 seconds, no punctuation, no numbers, normal difficulty, accents kept. You need a free account and a nickname. Only your best result counts. The day and the week change at midnight UTC.
Fair play
Your browser does not report a speed. Typocto gives you the words, receives each keystroke and calculates the result itself. Pasted text, impossible speeds and a machine-like rhythm are refused, and a doubtful result can be removed by hand.
How to get on the board
- Create a free account and choose a nickname.
- Take the typing test in 15 or 60 seconds, in normal mode, without punctuation or numbers.
- Your result is checked and, if it is your best, it appears on the boards.
Day, week and all time
Each language has its own boards, for 15 and 60 seconds: the fastest of the day, of the week and of all time. The words differ from one language to another, so speeds are only compared within a language. After a ranked test, you can share a card with your place.
Tips
- 15 seconds rewards a fast, clean start; 60 seconds rewards a steady rhythm.
- Warm up with a test or two before the one that counts.
